Nishant Rastogi is a Vice President at New Rhein, and founding member of the firm’s Philadelphia office. Nishant shares responsibility for day-to-day operations, including identification and screening of new opportunities, due diligence, negotiation of deal structure, and portfolio company involvement.
Prior to joining New Rhein, Nishant was the first associate at Broadview Ventures in Boston, MA. While at Broadview, he helped execute multiple transactions across medical device, pharmaceutical, and diagnostic technologies, and served as a board observer for various healthcare companies. He also contributed to a publication regarding the importance of impact investing in life sciences in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology in 2016.
Nishant has also held part-time investment roles at Digitalis Ventures in New York, NY and Linden Capital Partners in Chicago, IL. From 2012-2015, he worked in Corporate Strategy at Fidelity Investments. He holds an MBA from Northwestern University, and a BA in Economics from Dartmouth College. He was named one of Poets & Quants, “Top MBAs to Watch” in 2018, is an avid Philadelphia sports fan, tennis player, and volunteer high-school tutor. He is a board member of The Spruce Foundation, a non-profit organization providing philanthropic grants in support of Philadelphia youth.
